Egg-citing Easter at Track Stars Holiday Camp!

This Easter, we welcomed children from across the local area to another action-packed Track Stars Holiday Camp at Tamworth Athletics Club, and what an incredible couple of weeks it was!
From sprint races and long jump sessions to team games, crafts and athletics challenges, the camp was filled with energy, laughter and lots of new experiences for the children involved.
Jumping High with Olympic Inspiration
One of the biggest highlights of the camp was welcoming back special guest athlete Tom Gale, who joined us across multiple days to share his journey to becoming an Olympian and inspire the next generation of athletes.
For many of the children attending, it was their very first experience of trying high jump and what an introduction to the event! Imagine your very first high jump session being coached by an Olympian, not many people can say that!
Tom spent time speaking to the children about his athletics journey, demonstrating techniques, encouraging them through the sessions and helping build confidence in those trying something completely new.
It was fantastic to see children who were initially nervous gradually becoming more confident, celebrating each other’s progress and enjoying the challenge of learning new skills.

Agility Challenges
Team Games
We always aim to create an environment where children of all abilities and experience levels feel welcome. Whether they are stepping onto an athletics track for the first time or already love sport and physical activity.
Building confidence
As well as the athletics sessions, we also included indoor activities and creative games throughout the camp, helping children stay engaged, social and active across the day.
One of the most rewarding parts of the camp was seeing friendships grow, confidence develop and children leave each day smiling, proud of themselves and excited to come back.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the children, families, coaches and supporters who helped make this Easter camp such a success and another massive thank you to Tom Gale for giving up his time to inspire the children and create memories they will not forget anytime soon.
